New case sample back

In the previous post, Mr Xu has helped us design a case for the Cubieboard. Now the sample cases are back. The case comes in two versions, black and white, and transparent. It looks like the transparent one doesn’t look as good as in the picture. View the gallery for more photos.

That is probably the most beautiful and professional looking case compared to other similar product. Hopefully the price range is good too.

  2. This looks great! Can you guys provide the contact info of Mr.Xu? I’m actually in an urge to get a better case of Cubieboard to show my client a solution built around it. I’m living in China and speaking Chinese, so the language won’t be a problem for me. Many thanks.

    Nice case design :)

When the cubieboard come back to stock? :)

  4. Looks good! It looks more transluscent to me than transparent. I would like an even larger case I can put an SSD drive into it. Look forward to my board arriving.

    • Check the main page for a design (FruitStand) that can house a hard disk (SATA),
      http://cubieboard.org/2013/01/09/cubieboard-basket/

You may ask the designer for an option to house an SSD in the FruitStand.

      • The fruit stand doesn’t look that nice, it is easier for development, but a lot of users are just using it as a media player or something. Developing just software and then a clean looking housing is much better

  5. THE Black one looks very nice, when can I order one. So much more beautifull then just the board lying on my desk in front of the tv. I still hope there will be one with a , 2,5″ space. But this one is shure going to fit nice in a living room.

it is too much rectangular, Apple will complain.

The normal case is nice but i propose the follow: another case dedicate to shell only a 2.5” hard disk: this case will not have the upper face and has 2 plugs that fit the HDMI and power connectors present on cubieboard. So in is enough fix hard disc inside the shell, and plug it on the top of case with cubieboard.

    • I recommend you to subscribe to the discussion list at http://cubieboard.org/contact/ and discuss there.
There is work for a baseboard and also a kickstart campaign for a ‘fruitstand’ case.

to subscribe a discussion means to give my data to google: no, thanks. Happy to share suggestions to cubieboard, totally not agree to gift myself to Big Brother.

If you just do not like anything Google, then anything I will say will not help you. Such as, you need to delve into the technical aspects of privacy to have a better view on what to do and what not to do.

I am a fan of cubieboard, I hope the best for project. I suggest that idea for hard disk case to support the project. Cubieboarad is a little and brave Team, i like it and support. i dislike google at all. I prefere to give my ideas here. if you or other people wish to port it into googlegroups discussion, i say “ok, you can do”.

          • I am fan like you, volunteering here. It takes time to reply to all these questions, and it’s better for the rest of the team to work with the development of the Cubieboard.

You can join the #cubieboard IRC channel at Freenode and then interact with the developers.
