The spec says MMC card. However on the photos the connector marked “Data Card” is clearly a micro-SD connector.
That is good because it is difficult to get MMC card in any useful size nowadays. I bought one 7 years ago when 1 GB was the avantgarde of flash mem technology .
I really hope the card interface is at least a micro-SDHC so it can use up to 32 GB of flash mem. If it is only micro-SD we will be stuck by 2 GB and that would be a big limit.
One could always hope that it is a micro-SDXC (>=64 GB) or has UHS1 speed specifications, but experience tells me that trees do not grow into the sky .

Will you provide implementations of OpenMAX on Linux? (I’m mainly interested in JPEG encoding)
Allwinner will do that.
OpenMAX support is very desirable. @Cubieboard, do you guys have any commitment / roadmap from AllWinner on when they might have an OpenMAX implementation ready, and what all parts of OpenMAX they plan to implement ?

can i connect to sata multiplier?
sorry, no.
So you are saying that there is no way to shutdown the unit by way of command? The only modes are standby and wakeup? Powerup only by connecting power to the unit?
Thank You
Po, there is a pmu on board. You can shutdown the board with linux “shutdown” command, and power up the board with long press the power button.
Still waiting patiently to BUY!
Where >>> When ?
I mean to say, this product is so slow to dealers as to make prospective users C R Y
Hi, this project is at early stage, we must make sure that the board is stable and usable when delivered to the customer. It takes a long time for us to prepare before shipping, including the box packaging, the sata cable.
looks like there is an audio input. is it Mic or Line-in?
Line-in.
Will you ship to Turkey?
yes, we can ship to Turkey, when we have in stock.
As per the A10 datasheet the chip has already an inbuilt RTC. All you need to do to make it work is to add a 50 cent lithium Battery. Why nobody is doing it? Why it hurts so much to have a Correct Date and Time whenever you switch on your board/Tablet or TVBox ?
Hi, yes, the first idea of cubieboard is put as less as possible components on the board and make it as small as possible. Now we know there are a lot demand of the RTC and the battery, we will add it in the next hardware revision.
taobao is showing cubieboard in stock, but is it possible to purchase from the site if outside china??
no. taobao is only available in China.
Hello!
Is it possible to install Android / Linux on SSD using this SATA port? Will this run XBMC? Do you ship to Croatia?
Thank you in advance for your reply.
It’s possible to install Linux/Android on SSD. This can run XBMC but not the best performance now. We can ship worldwide.
