Crowd funding

Since cubieboard announced, we have received more concern and demand than we expected. We had made 200 prototype boards and they have all been sold out quickly. There are more than 1000 users in our forum. And overy 4000 people subscribed to our notification list, and increasing at the speed of 100 per day. We are a startup and we don’t have such a mount of money to manufacture that many boards. To meet the demand for the board, we decide to crowd fund for cubieboard on Indiegogo.

The standard price for the board is 59$(49$ for the board and 10$ for international shipping cost).
If we can fund the money for 1000 boards, we can start shipping in Dec.

      Probably you want the same price than Raspberry Pi, but this is commercial, no charity. Sincerely, are you really restricted to buy to this cheap computer because of the excessive price? Probably it’s just your habit to whine every penny. If you want cheaper go with Raspberry Pi, this is better.

    Would have liked to see a volume linked incentive somewhere, which for example was done with Teensy3. Works great for everybody. After-all, someone investing towards volume, is putting greater faith, taking greater risk and therefore should be rewarded.

    Just a suggestion, of something like –
    1 board commit => $49 + $10
    3 board commit => $46*3 + $20
    7 board commit => $43*7 + $40
    10 board commit => $41*10 + $60

    You guys are likely to reach your target much sooner, and therefore start the production runs earlier.

    I have just published an article about the board on tehnoblog habrahabr.ru, I hope it will help raise funds for the production.
    I previously subscribed to the notice of the sale, but did not receive email. I think if you make a newsletter about Crowd funding, it will also speed up the process of collecting money.

    It is such a great and proven product! yet held from production due to lack of funding.
    Have you considered VCs or Angel investors options? you guys could start production by the thousands and fast.

    Tell me how we can keep track of the boards we paid for, I would like to know what is the time frame for the shipping of the 5 off boards we purchased. Will you allow us to choose a preferred courier (DHL) for shipping or have you contracted only one. Will you also send us the courier details and tracking number as soon as boards are shipped.

      Hi, we have not received the full funds, indiegogo will wire transfer the money to us in one week. I think we can start shipping by the end of Nov.
